Seattle Children's Hospital Chief of Staff & Senior Director, Office of the CEO in Seattle, Washington

The Chief of Staff is a key member of the executive team with responsibility to ensure impactful, efficient and productive business operations for the Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Leadership team. The Chief of Staff oversees all essential activities of the office of the CEO, including developing plans that align strategic priorities and coordinate the rhythm of the business to ensure the executive team’s priorities, programs and projects are congruent with system planning cycles. The Chief of Staff is responsible for directing and managing daily activities for the CEO as well as guiding long-term strategic initiatives from inception to completion. The Chief of Staff collaborates and assists the CEO with internal and external communications, ensuring appropriate dissemination to appropriate audiences. The Chief of Staff will manage the CEO’s executive communications manager, executive assistant and project manager.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field.

  • Eight years progressive management, leadership, or consultant experience in a hospital or health care setting.

  • Demonstrated experience in business planning or strategic planning with executives.

  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading complex projects, facilitating teams, and driving decision-making leading to consensus.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration or healthcare related field

  • Twelve years progressively responsible experience in strategic planning, business development or project management

  • General knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, CPI and or Kaizen
