We are looking for a candidate with the ability to take a feature area from start to finish and deliver high quality, maintainable code. Excellent technical and communication skills are very critical. You must be able to work equally well with the development, design, art, and test teams.This is a team of 4-5 seasoned developers. They are bringing on this contractor to work on some of the individual features within the game. They will be working on a set of screens to advertise the other games. This team uses C and XAML to handle all of the user interface for the game. They work on the menus, navigation from one menu to another and the data that is shown on the screen. They handle the high-level flow of the games.Typical task breakdown and rhythm:This individual will start the day with a set of tasks that they need to work on. All of these tasks will come with a clear set of deliverables that are experiential based. They will spend a large portion of the day will be spent figuring out the best approach to handle the task and then start writing the C code that will be interjected into the existing code base. They may write the interface that represents the behavior of a feature using Xaml that represents the visuals about that feature.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred or equivalent experience

  • Must have 4 years programming C

  • Game programming experience in a team environment, with at least one shipped title or a great demo

  • Experience delivering user facing features with high usability

  • Proven ability to work closely with designers and artists

  • Passion for games & games development

Top Skills:

  • Proven experience working collaboratively with a team on features (i.e. working with other designers or artists)

  • In depth C knowledge

  • Previous experience driving a feature without needing a lot of help with the technical aspects (experience managing these tools independently)

Candidates with the following additional skills will be preferred:

  • Experience with WPF or XAML applications

  • Knowledge and passion for cars or racing
