Facebook Motion Capture Stage Manager in Redmond, Washington
You have a mixture of skills that enable you to effectively manage all aspects of a motion capture stage, including camera setup, calibration, networking, data management, data processing, maintenance and program management. You like working with an interdisciplinary team of computer vision, software, hardware, and gameplay engineers. You are effective at leveraging and managing a cross-functional team (of hardware engineers, software engineers, network engineers, external vendors) to achieve your goals, but you're not afraid to do things yourself.

Work closely with researchers and program managers to prioritize data capture needs
Work with computer vision and software engineers to streamline data capture processes and alleviate bottlenecks
Manage several evolving motion capture stages consisting of a variety of cameras and other sensors
Direct data capture efforts of hands, bodies and objects
Train research assistants to use camera calibration software and execute data collection processes
Specify and build out new motion capture environments and systems, leveraging concept prototyping teams, Facilities, and external vendors
Organize data storage and networking
Program manage data capture schedule
3+ years experience working with a motion capture stage in the context of visual effects industry or the games industry
3+ years experience with Vicon, Motive or other motion capture software
Knowledge of optics and lighting design
Knowledge of geometric and Photometric camera calibration
Experience working with artists or technical artists
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
Experience working with a light stage
Experience writing scripts in Python
Experience with photogrammetry
Experience with geometric computer vision and camera calibration
Experience working with prototype camera hardware
Experience working with a cross-disciplinary team of researchers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, optical engineers, and software engineers
