Microsoft Teams is used worldwide in a variety of industries and is a central piece of the Microsoft 365 suite of products. At Ignite last year, we introduced a new vision for intelligent communications, transforming calling and meeting experiences for people and organizations around the world. Intelligent communications go beyond traditional unified communications, enabling you to complete tasks more efficiently with minimal context switching, participate in more productive meetings that cover the entire meeting lifecycle, and better manage your everyday communications overload.

The online meetings/video conferencing market is approx. a $16B market this year growing at 20% CAGR. It is estimated that about a third of the employee work hours are spent in meetings with more than half of these meetings being online meetings. We are looking for a seasoned product marketing leader to help build out the mid/long term GTM strategy for meetings and video conferencing in Microsoft Teams as a part of our Intelligent Communications vision. The PMM leader will own the overall marketing strategy including customer value proposition, competitive analysis, GTM across the web and channel and drive a deep and strategic engagement with cross-org product engineering and the business development teams.

To succeed in this role, you must bring passion for customers with a deep technical and business understanding of the online meetings and unified communications industry. The role involves great collaboration skills as you will need to work across multiple engineering teams, marketing and sales, and have a start-up mindset to roll up your sleeves and get things done.

Responsibilities

• Own the marketing strategy for Microsoft Teams in the meetings and video conferencing industry

• Value proposition and competitive analysis of key players in the industry

• Influence product strategy with the product and engineering teams

• Customer centric thinking, data fluency and collaborative communication skills

• Identify, develop and track key business metrics and proactively use key metrics to drive business improvement

• Lead change management and influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels in the organization

Qualifications

Candidate should have 12+ years of related work experience, MBA preferred. Additional qualifications include 5+ years of product marketing, consumer/digital marketing, engineering or technology roles. Knowledge of the UC and Online Meetings industry is preferred. We are looking for a highly motivated, technology savvy individuals with love for the productivity and teamwork business solutions and the ability to work in a fast-paced disruptive environment. Candidate must be able to generate high-impact ideas, manage multiple stakeholders and drive initiatives to completion. Candidate must have a proven ability to work across virtual teams and influence others. Great EQ and communication skills across diverse audiences, ability to influence and drive change through others including senior executives. This position requires excellent oral and written communications abilities, and strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with technical and business leaders. MBA is preferred.
